A guy I know from highschool, Joey, was on the college Jeopardy semi-finals today, and he won!! He's going on to the finals!
Downside: The other two finalists are from universities I've never heard of in my life, which means they're probably private, and they're probably fucking Einsteins. Also, one of them is Asian. Oh shit.
But Joey was totally the comeback kid! He was down at first, but suddenly just started gaining the lead! I was just like "DAMN JOEY REPRESENT MISSISSIPPI STATE WHATWHAT!"
"Maroon! White! Fight fight fight! Mississippi State! Whoo, you damn right!"

Yesterday evening, I received quite the blast from my past.
I was gifted "The Oregon Trail 3rd Edition: Pioneer Adventures". Certainly not as far back as I could have gone to my past, but far back enough. I never thought I would be elated to see the word "dysentery", or "accidental gunshot wound"! (Well, that last phrase was what did me in...so perhaps I wasn't so happy that time).
But after 2 main character deaths in as many days, I opted to join a wagon party (instead of forming my own) and finally made it to Oregon City with only one party member dead (a bear mauling--a bear that I was hunting. Oops) and settled with 10 acres. Where's my mule, damnit?!
I am having way too much fun!
