What do you do when you get a crush on someone?
Submitted by Desi.
I don't really have anything that's exclusive to crushes...I just sort of do my damnedest to hang around them, be a little more flirtatious than usual (but nothing too overt--unless the fella comes on equally as strong, in which case I consider the game afoot). Brief touches on shoulders and arms is a good indicator too, because if he shies away from physical contact then we probably wouldn't have much fun anyway.
But anyway, there was the cutest guy at the LAN party last night. He had that sort of UK-punk look going on, I mean DAMN. I complimented his boots--they were from England. And from what conversation I heard him having with another guy, he's been to the Czech Republic.
I HAVE TO SEE HIM AGAIN. :O He was so handsome holy shit. And smart, and philosophical. Plus he, Casey, and myself turned the wrong way leaving the party and collectively had to pull into people's driveways and turn around. We're all lost gooses!
I don't want to go to work. I want to find out if he's on Myspace or Facebook! I'm leaving this entry public because maybe, just maybe he'll find this entry and be like "Hm, I was just thinking the same thing."*
*(Stfu and let me dream.)
Confound it all! I had a dream last night where, not soon after I started dreaming (about unimportant nothings), I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around, and there was a skinny guy there with black hair and a "witch's lock"--not like any physical person I know at all, but in my dream I knew that it was a friend of mine that I met through ballroom dancing, and we both took Philosophy of Science last spring. He graduated that year, but we still keep in periodic touch with Facebook and e-mail.
In addition to being "friends", he and also flirt back and forth quite a lot (in physical and through Facebook). We've fallen out of touch with each other after Christmas, so I think this dream was to spur me to action.
So, now that you've got a bit of background--he taps me on the shoulder, I turn around and after a brief moment of recognition I gleefully cry his name, he picks me up and spins me around in a huge hug. We kiss and go walking around wherever we were for a bit, and then at one point we sat down and snuggled against each other. I suppose I fell asleep in this dream, because when I woke up (from the dream-nap) I was alone. I asked Kristyn (who just showed up) where my boy had gone, she told me he'd left. I woke up (into the "real world" this time) so very sad.
I took this as motive to e-mail him, just to see what's up. *sigh*
Audio: Share your favorite song from this summer.
Well, there are quite a few. You know me--I've got a song for every night spent out either causing mayhem and mischief in the backwoods, or staying up all night on the back porch laughing and cuttin' up!
Aw man, you don't even know. Me, Haley, Andi, Megan, all in Haley's room with the radio turned up, dancing for them dollas er, very enthusiastically. So. Much. Fun. The last 'dance party' also yielded a hilarious new inside joke and a video to accompany it, but I haven't gotten them uploaded yet. Later days on that, for real.
Orlando! Margaritaville! Flirting with Utah boys! It's the Mississippi drawl. Damn near irresistible.
As amazing as this summer has been, I'm ready to turn the page.
What would the title of your autobiography be?

She's Standing Right Behind Me, Isn't She?
Title speaks for itself. My life is a history of foot-in-mouth moments.
I didn't place in the show, I had a sneaking suspicion I wouldn't. I was up against people who'd shown before, and a girl in Block & Bridle who'd won for....a trillion years in a row. Geez, Mer, give someone else a chance! :P Needless to say, she was grand champion in this show as well.
Steak supper tonight, and then Columbus. I'm missing those guys like crazy, and after listening to "Take Me Out Tonight" from RENT I'm dying to be a little bitchtease again.
I'm going to take a deep breath and plunge ino NaNoWriMo this year. Inspiration just hit me now...I'm going to write about the lives of three friends who are meth addicts trying to get clean.
Ballroom dancing once more did not fail to make me happy. We're having a masquerade on Oct. 27, and I'm hoping that Halloween on the Farm with Block & Bridle doesn't interfere. *crosses fingers* Brandon makes me laugh so hard with his facial expressions when we dance. Aw, thinking about it makes my heart wiggle. (That can't be healthy...haha!) I think he's "feeling" me. I'm "feeling" him. He remarked on my glittery shoulders at The Abbey last night, and we discussed "holdable hips" after open dance tonight. To quote him, "We're both very--endowed in that aspect."
O RLY?
It's good to have a dance partner who will actually lead--most beginner guys aren't confident, therefore they don't lead, and I have no idea what they're wanting me to do. Brandon says it's good to have a partner who pushes back and keeps the frame solid, as opposed to most girls who dance like Raggedy Anne.
That turned out a lot longer than I meant it to. This fella's charming.
